Also you might go on to another problem to avoid the current one.

Perhaps you will aid someone else with a problem they have in order to avoid yours.
You might avoid the situation by keeping it bottled up inside you, which could cause a lot of inner stress, and eventually cause you to begin crying, or some other emotional outburst.
You, depending upon the situation, might even move to another location, either mentally, physically, and/or emotionally.
You might infuriate someone causing you the grief to they point that you can physically attack them. (not recommended).
If it bothers you enough, you might mentally suppress it into your sub-conscious mind.
Another thing you may do by avoiding the situation is eventually cause yourself actual physical problems, perhaps through anxiety, or by mentally denying negative urges you may have.
You might rationalize that the whole situation is not worth any of your time or effort.
You might try relying on some logical thought and/or on facts to back up stand on the situation.
You could try to ignore the weak points of your situation by concentrating only on the strong points.
